Now, start AutoCAD, select new drawing ..once the side AutoCAD click
on the preferences..
This will bringup the preference dialogbox. Hightlght Support file
searce path... click Add..Then type in c:\adraft\ss
click on Support file searce path... click Add..Then type in c:\adraft\support
Now bring up the Perference dialogbox again,, hightlight Template
Drawing file location,
Click add, type in c:\adraft\tb
Click OK
Allmost done, The last thing to do is load adraft.mnu...
at the cammand line type menu,,, when the Select menu dialogbox comes up, change directory to c:\adraft\support At the Files of type window... click the down arrow to the right of the window, Select "menu template(*.mnu) File name window should appear adraft.mnu. ,,, ckick open... Click OK on the next dialogbox. Now you should be ready to draw columns and beams. Start a new drawing... Select Use a Template.. be sure jwdpro14.dwt is selected, if it didn't come up as the default, select nore files, change directory to c:\\adraft\tb. click OK When the Enter Drawing No,: dialogbox comes up type in any 5 charchters plus the drawing number, Example 1234-6 where "6" is the drawing number Adraft will use as the drawing number. the first 5 characters can be your job number..Note: The number of characters before the drawing number can be changed for thje job data file at any time. Inside AutoCAD click on the tools popdown and then click Job data |
